All Set Up

I worked from home yesterday morning. Not unremarkable in itself but it’s the first time with the full setup: proper desk, proper chair, two screens (three if you count the laptop). ‘Tech support’ also settled in once I’d stopped her walking all over the keyboard.

And yes, that is a second laptop because it was also a bit of a life admin day.

Loving Local

Thanks to a declaration of Level 1 and no gathering restrictions the Petone Fair was full steam ahead on Saturday.

A fabulous day and a few treats came home with me too.

Spa Day

Not for me, for Poppy. Nails done, coat groomed, so far so good but also blood tests and booster shots. As a lady of advancing years it’s become easier on everyone to get some things (like dreadlock removal) done by the professionals and sleepy pills help too. For me it was a work from home day with lots of ‘supervising’ from Huia. And at the end of it we were all exhausted and one of us was probably still a bit drugged up.

Just Chill’n

It’s the Waitangi long weekend so yesterday was spent in at the Wharewaka.

Plans for the rest of the weekend?  Just chill’n.

Being Productive

Last weekend the weavers hit the road and returned to Rangataua. We visited last year and did a mighty weekend of prep for what turned out to be Wheturangi, the stars that are now up at the Johnsonville Community Hub. This year we were doing our own thing but as with last year, there was lots of sharing, learning and as much watching as doing.

For me it was super productive and these are now ready for our Waitangi Day stall next weekend.

And of course where there is weaving there is Huia.

COVID Post

This could mean a number of things but in my little corner of the world it’s the effect COVID has on moving objects around the world. Yesterday I got home to a little selection of treats in my letter box

From the bottom up and in chronological order they are some online shopping (Nov), a card from Canada (pre Christmas) and goodies from my Mum (late Dec). Frustrating but fun when they all come at once.

Tetris Continues

Over the break home Tetris continued. Piles moved and consolidated...

And made room for a proper work from home setup.
I’m also slowly going through boxes and finally clearing some things out. Last week’s recycling included a selection of old cards and an array of random photocopied things that were obviously a good idea at the time.
