Wooohooo!!!!

I've been slightly obsessively (only twice a day) checking my bank account for the last week and my patience (and obsession) has been rewarded! Late this afternoon I had my Rugby World Cup ticket payment deducted! So, I'm going!

I now await official confirmation which should arrive late July. I really do love living in an electronic world.

Diary of a very part-time homemaker

It's been a flat out week but I did get time to make some guava jelly. Yes, more fruit.
Thank goodness for a recipe book for microwave jams and jellys. Also means the whole process can be done after work rather than taking a whole day.
This is the fruit draining in the pantry. It is hung from the old washing stick that I've inherited from my grandmother. It may never see hot water again but it's great for jelly hanging. That's also her jelly bag.

And this is the finished product.
Btw, it's not medium jelly - it's in a medium salsa jar, very handy size and my regular substitute for spaghetti sauce.

Just a serious thumping...

rather than a total walkover. 66/28 scoreline plus gas jets, great music, the rain and wind stopped and the crowd was happy.

All round good night really.

2 games, 3 colours

The town has slowly been turning black and green for the All Blacks game against Ireland tomorrow night. After that we will be turning white as we cheer on the All Whites who are playing if the Football World Cup for the first time in yonks. We also have a sweep at work and we have all drawn another team to support so Go Algeria!
